´╗┐You might have noticed that in some part of the world they drive their vehicle on the right side of the lane but we drive on the left why? Well, this is totally because of our and olden age practices and colonization.

In India, we drive on the left because we were colonized by the British and we followed the rules laid by them this is why you may notice that all British colonies like Australia have the practice of driving on the left.

Even in the 19th century, most parts of the world were driving on the left this is because cattle and horses where their mode of transportation so in order to handle them effectively most right-handers chose to drive on the left as they can control it easily with the right hand when compared to the left.

After the French Revolution in order not to follow the rules of the previous emperor, Nepolian forced all the drivers to drive on the right. This was the era when most of the world changed their style of driving.

But in the case of the United States which was a British colony didn't abide their rules because they were supposed to carry lots of goods over very long distance with the help of four to six cattle and horse at a time, so the riders sit on the left side and drive in the right lane so they could have good clear view of the road and control them.

These are some of the main reasons why in different countries we follow different rules.
